The conflict between humanity and robots has begun once again and turmoil is all that fills the air in the world of MegaMan X. Here we have a remake of the game, with upd. Nothing you'd call edgy, of course, but it was nonetheless a big departure. Developers have changed their locations, so you'll have to relocate them. This, of course, means you'll wind up entering and re-entering levels in a different order than before, since certain upgrades are only accessible once you've collected specific items. It doesn't kill that title at all.
Unchanging was the formula, proving that Capcom's. The animated cutscenes, which help add extra story and character depth, look awesome. That's not to say the game becomes dull after playing it for awhile. I still thought the game was a. Fortunately, it proves to be much more than a simple trip down memory lane.
The voice acting isn't so great, but it's not terrible, either. Remake or no, there's really no denying the appeal here. That's just what happens when blasting through familiar environments while listening to remixed videogame tracks. I even thought this game was awesome. I loved this game for its simplicity.
You start the game off as a novice Maverick Hunter, a job. But then when I just played it, it was a rip-off. For most gamers, though, there's a good chance the alterations, big and small, will make Hunter X a better game. Developers have replaced the original's flat backgrounds and characters with polygonal models. One of the cooler aspects, the hidden armor homepage and weapon upgrades, are also back in full form.
However, it is a fa. Shortly after, I played Megaman 2. It still feels and plays like the original you've come to cherish. Furthermore, the fact that it's now portable only strengthens its charm. . It retained the cooler aspects of the Mega Man franchise while offering something altogether unique. It was a port, of course, but not a bad port.
It also traded the overly cute, baby-robot aesthetic of the original for an older, slightly grizzled look. To many fans, the original proved a major highlight in the series. Having said that, Hunter X offers a different experience depending on your gaming history. The most obvious difference, of course, is in the game's presentation. Hunter X isn't just the first 2D sidescroller for Sony's handheld, it also happens to be a damn good one. It made Mega Man officially cool. For instance, those intimate with the original will notice a slew of changes, ranging from aesthetic tweaks to major changes in level design.
What is different, however, homepage is where you'll find these items. In other words, if you like games, you'll probably find something to enjoy here. They're clear, vibrant and very well done. In terms of gameplay, didn't mess around too much with established formula. Explosions and various other special effects benefit from greater detail, and there's a bunch of nifty environmental flourishes that really make it seem like you're playing a modern Mega Man title.
As such, Hunter X should appeal to fans of the original and those looking for a cool, satisfying sidescroller. The graphics are good but then their is nothing to do. . . .
